With a pronounced note of Gentian, AVÈZE 18% is renowned for its clear expression of its terroir. It is a product with authentic flavours that include a long, lingering bitterness.


AVÈZE is made from fresh, wild Gentian, the roots of which are harvested by hand in the Auvergne Volcanic Regional Nature Park. These roots are then sorted, washed, and cut into chips, before being macerated in alcohol for a minimum of 9 months. This precious liquid is used to produce AVÈZE and is what gives it its inimitable flavour. Every year Espace AVÈZE Maison de la Gentiane, in Riom-ès-Montagnes, Cantal welcomes thousands of visitors, where they are introduced to the secrets of this authentic aperitif.
